FAQs

faqs track dollar bills

Is it necessary to create an account if I would like to enter dollar bills?

Yes, you do need to create an account in order to track your dollar bills. Without an account, you are only able to view statistics available on the site. If you want to participate, you must register.

Why do you need to have my email address?

Your email address is necessary so that you can have an identity and an unique account. It is important to register your email address with us because you will be notified when your dollar bills receive hits, and about any new features we have added to the site. We will not share your email address with anyone.

How do I sign in to my account?

To login, enter your email address and password. If you forget your password, click on the link to reset it. We will send an email to you with a new password.

If you click the reset password link and do not receive an email, contact us. Simply send us a detailed message describing what the problem is. Be sure to include your registered email address, and your name.

How do I make connections with other members?

Our website has a user forum. To visit, just click on the link. You will be taken to the page where you can post on the discussion board and interest with other members. We encourage them to do so.

Why should I register bills with your website?

Tracking dollar bills is just plain interesting and fun. By entering bills into the system, you can find out where it goes after you spend it. You can also find out who found your note. You can learn a lot about the circulation of dollars. Just give it a try, you will probably like it.

When will I find out if someone else has a bill that I entered?

Whenever a dollar that you registered is entered into the system again, we will send you an email with a link to that bill report. You will immediately see where it went. Sometimes, one of the bills that you wish to register will already be in our system. If this occurs, you will then see the full report of that bill, which contains the information on where it was before that bill got to you.

Is it against the law to write on dollar bills?

We do NOT want you to place a mark or small words on a dollar bill. Also, what you should never do is deface a dollar bill. Defacing a dollar bill is basically vandalizing it to the point where the note can no longer be read, and can't be spent. That is illegal, and we don't encourage or support any such defacing of dollar bills.

Is it possible to enter several bills at a time rather than enter them one by one?

If you have entered less than 100 separate bills, you will have to continue to enter them individually. Once you have entered at least one hundred bills (one by one), you will become a premium member. Premium members are able to enter more than one bill at a time.

Is there a way to enter dollar bills while I am on vacation? I will not have access to the internet.

Relax, and enjoy your vacation! You can write down on a piece of paper and then enter the dollar bill when you have internet access. We understand that tracking dollar bills is very addicting, but don't worry, you can write the information down, and track them when you come back. Before you leave, go to the section where you enter bills and make a note of all the information that we ask for. That will make it easy for you to record your bills while you are away.

Multiple accounts and Multiple members on single accounts

Each account should have one member, and each member should only have one account. Do not use other people's accounts to track bills, use your own account. Multiple accounts are prohibited. You must not try to test the tracking system by entering the same bill on separate accounts. This is not allowed. Abuse of the system will result in suspension of your registration.

If I got the bill in a plane, a bus, a boat, etc..., what location should I enter?

In the field where you have to enter where you got the dollar bill, record the destination your were headed to, or the last stop. For example, if you were on the bus and got off in a certain city, enter that city (state, country, etc...)

What happens if I get a bill back after registering it?

This occurs very rarely, but sometimes members receive a dollar bill they have already entered. You are not allowed to enter a dollar bill twice, so if this happens, please send the support team an email.

What is wrong with hanging on to my bills for a while before entering them?

Why wait? Enter your dollar bill within 1 week of obtaining them, as soon as possible. This is better than waiting until later, and will help us to avoid any statistical issues.
